毒蛋引發國人對於食安的憂心，國民黨28日稱，受到影響的蛋農受到壓力不敢發聲。民進黨彰化縣立委洪宗熠引述農委會官員說法，芬普尼約10至14天即可由雞體代謝，民眾毋須恐慌；並呼籲藍營切勿因為個人選舉利益在傷口上灑鹽，打擊蛋農的生計。
洪宗熠引述《NOWnews今日新聞》報導，批評國民黨中央由少數黨公職人員召開記者會，指控農委會擺爛、有問題蛋品下架做半套以及放任毒蛋橫行。
他表示，部分在野人士「見獵心喜」，為著個人的全國黨代表選舉、中央委員選舉，不惜犧牲台灣蛋農用來攫取個人選舉的利益，他要嚴正地表達抗議，政黨內部選舉不應淪落至此，藉由消費蛋農進而藉此爭取選票，這樣的行為，終究會被廣大的台灣人民所唾棄。
洪宗熠指出，近日爆發雞蛋芬普尼事件後，行政院農委會以及彰化縣政府農業處都全力動員清查與善後處置，在中央與地方政府通力合作下，整起事件已逐漸受到控制。
洪宗熠表示，在他與彰化縣副縣長林明裕、農業處長黃碧海、衛生局長葉彥伯共同協商後，日前已採堆肥方式予以銷毀，並建立後續處理標準流程與機制，恢復民眾對於雞蛋食用的信心。
他進一步說明，此次芬普尼雞蛋事件，最初是因為歐洲爆發雞蛋中殘留芬普尼物質；他呼籲農政單位要加強宣導，減少蛋農誤用農藥的可能；也呼籲衛福部、農委會以及環保署食安相關單位，對各項食物與農產品相關檢驗項目必須明確公告，並明確列出可食用的安全存量，畢竟歷經戴奧辛雞蛋、芬普尼雞蛋事件之後，台灣的雞蛋產業已經風雨飄搖，禁不起再一次的打擊了。
